To increase public awareness of alternative fuels and to improve the local infrastructure for alternative fuels, while developing and promoting a strategic plan for Laredo to be designated Clean City by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Support military and veteran units in the community to build greater relationship between these and the business sector.
Promote the injection of military funds into the local economy.
